Ever since I can remember I loved using drawing to express feelings into a visual form, and capture what I see onto paper.
In highschool I fell in love with graffiti, and went through a phase of drawing name portraits in fine point sharpie for all my friends.
My composition notebooks were always filled with more doodles than class notes.
Unfortunately I don't draw recreationally anymore as much as I'd like to, but I do still get to utilize the skill in other practical ways.
Now almost every graphic design project I take on begins in my sketchbook, with pages of brainstorming before even opening a digital program.
Even videography requires some storyboarding to plan out a script on paper.
I'm far from the most talented illustrator out there, but it feels great to put graphite or ink to paper and
going back to the basics.
